The game was developed by Undead Labs and released by Microsoft in 2013. The name translates as “Rotting State,” and it already says a lot. What happened in this state is unknown, but now it is awash with the dead, eager to turn similar, still normal people into themselves. Well, or just kill them. In general, the state is in complete decline, at the stage of self-decomposition, so to speak. I wonder what the United States government thinks about this? ..

- Unlike most games of this genre in State of Decay, gamers have to manage not just one character, but a whole group. As already noted, this project is not a shooter or action. Feel free to call it a survival simulator in the zombie world. A group of not yet infected people under the guidance of a gamer will have to do everything possible to save themselves. First you need to equip the camp and protect it with the help of watchtowers. In the protected area you can start a garden, equip a kitchen, workshop, infirmary, gym, and even a library.
- For each character, you can choose a specialization, develop unique qualities in it, and not necessarily positive ones. This is how a close-knit motley group has to defend itself against bloodthirsty zombies. By the way, other surviving groups live in a world that is open. With them, you can establish friendly contact in order to provide mutual assistance, to trade.
- Search for food and ammunition, as well as other useful things to be left in abandoned buildings. And there are a lot of zombies ... And sometimes it’s better to remain secretive to successfully complete the operation. Yes, there are also stealth elements in State of Decay. The gameplay is incredibly rich and interesting.
